NetServer update

Post by zuzuf » Sun Jun 21, 2009 12:45 pm

I've fixed the login/register bug in NetServer (now it checks the connection to the database before just "failing"). Passwords are now encrypted (I consider this part of the service has been successfully tested and fixed, so let's add encryption :P) and the user list has been reset (so if you had an account you'll have to register again) because of this change in the database.

NB: currently each time you log in or register, you send the password unencrypted, in the future I would like to change the authentication system using a challenge system (so the password won't be sent over the network except when you change it/register) but for now it'll stay like this (easier to debug :P)

it only checks if your version == server registered version, which is not the case since there is a WIP flag that doesn't match here :P
