there is no Linux version.

anyway you can get the list of OpenGL extensions supported by your driver/card in console with:

glxinfo | less

There are also GUIs tools that can show the same informations (and probably plasmoids and such), but this is system dependent and sometimes video card dependent:
nvidia provides a tool (nvidia-settings), I think ATI also provides one but I don't remember its name.

I didn't got more infomation by this tool without something already know.I just know the my video suppent all opengl2.0 and couldn't suppent opengl3.0, /:^]
But surely useful for you good man.
And I think we should initialize set by User's system.It cost long time to start load file when change the file in TA3d folden with old Set file (or due to cache?).And starmoon told he want a faster First time, fisrt time run ta3d,first time load game,
And the first time run ta3d is a great opportunity to initialize set file. e.g. low/ normal/ hign video, language, player name(it's need for player,asked name when first time run game),and maybe etc
