TA3D uses hard synchronization : it doesn't expect simulation to be deterministic which makes it cross platform by nature :P

I won't be there tonight, maybe tomorrow ? (you can still play without me and report bugs, maybe I can fix blocking ones before tomorrow :P)

Hey - newcomer here. I'm Ian how is everyone?

I haven't exactly played, but have seen both Spring and TA3D and each looks amazing.

I'd like to get some online games a happenin'. I have yet to download anything.

What I'm hoping happens is that I go download the most recently posted link, do some kind of quick install [with either an install or some very easy and simple copy paste.] Lord willing, this will go amazingly perfect.

Post throughout today with your schedsess. I'm going to be testing all day - I have a Total Mayhem install to do properly - [That Mutation .. . .].

I'm sure anyone over at TAU would be happy to hear from you guys and girls. TAUniverse(dot)com. Link to the forum's on the left. They're recovering from UU and FU going down, so bear, but most everything's in quite decent and spectac shape.

Hoping to hear from you guys soon.

Hi,

I've seen your post on TAU concerning TA2. This is exactly what we're trying to do here (much more than Spring which is now a RTS TA like game engine). TA3D started as a small experiment 4 years ago and has grown up with less developers than Spring : no more than 3 at the same time, something like 2 years with me as the only developer! Now we are a small team (2 programmers, testers, people writing translations, docs, ...) but development is still slow compared to the huge amount of things to do (to give an idea of the task, TA3D itself, not the tools, is something like 85k lines of code). If you are willing to help us, we'll be glad to welcome you in the team :D

All released packages (that are not too old) are available from ftp://downloads.ta3d.org/binaries/
Latest alphas have been released only for windows (they are simple 7zip archives, just use 7zip to extract them), for both Linux and OS X you'll need to build the code from SVN if you want to try the 0.6.x branch (packages are available for Ubuntu and Mandriva only for stable releases like 0.5.x).

If you have any question, feel free to ask.

The thing is TA3D is a change from a majority of "free softwares" : Devs care for what users ask (How was Spain ? I was 11 days at my secondary parent house, for myself).
