Can`t run Ta3D on Windows

One of my friends experienced a constant crash.

Obviously OpenGL acceleration is missing, TA3D won't work with GDI. Anyway your friend is courageous to start a game in those conditions :shock: Even menus should run slow like hell!

Yeah, menus are really slow :P

What`s the cause of using GDI instead of OpenGL? Is the reason - the old hardware (videocard) or software stuff?

vista 64 meet some problem in resolution.

in case of vista, I suspect driver may be the problem. I don't know much about OpenGL on vista, except that m$ didn't want to integrate it like in previous versions of windows, so it's all on the driver side now (correct me if I am wrong).

I don't know, I've read the log, there is nothing helpful in it :cry: .

Just try playing with settings (set everything to minimum, if it works, enable them one by one until it crashes again).

Same Notebook, but now it crashes just after running of TA3D.

I guess that's the problem :wink: , video hardware/driver doesn't support 1280x1024.
Just edit ta3d.cfg and change the video settings.

Yeah, changing resolution does help. But the game crashes on texture loading stage.

nope, textures have been loaded and 3D models too, it crashed just after.

Did you try to run it with settings to minimum and only totala1.hpi and totala2.hpi ?

Clear the cache, check there is enough disk space to build it, if it's not that I am running out of ideas :cry:
