0.5.3. Test results
0.5.3. Win32. Athlon 64 X2, Radeon 4840 512 mb.
Install/Run fine.
View without perspective - is awesome, now it`s my favoutite view.
terrain texture bug will kill me someday eventually. Why the hell units textures are flawless, but the terrain ones is bugged
Bugs:
- Water rendering was bugged. For some time it was ok, then water goes black circles, then after some time - ok again, and after while - bugged again.
- Units pathfollowing is still very sad if there are trees on the map.
- strange behaviour of nanolathe particles - sometimes they just dissapears.
- blow sprites are half-covered with terrain. Is it possible to draw them parallel to the ground so they were drawn whole?
Suggestions:
- add keys "up" and "down" available while selecting map in game setup screen.
- add ability to specify several actions with "LShift" pressed (move here, Guard here) and so on. Currently there is only one selected command available while holding Shift.
- add support for +switchalt command, so I could chose selected squads without pressing "alt" key.
Anyway - quite nice release. Waiting for 0.6 and testing 0.5.3.
Install/Run fine.

the LShift order behavior seems buggy on win32 , on my system it works the way it should.
Could you send me a screen shot of buggy textures while in orthographic view ?
The new water renderer is not buggy ... well it's just the integration process that is not stable so it's reset every few minutes which may not be enough when running the game at high speed or if your GPU makes rounding errors appear sooner. That's a problem I don't know how to fix yet.
can you reproduce the nanolathe particle bug, when do they disappear ?
That's interesting to see that a few things were implicitly relying on perspective.
I may send you an early pre-alpha package of SDL branch in order to see how textures are displayed on ATI/win32 platform
PS: is there any reason to your double post ?

I am going to build a new one, there has been lots of critical changes since last one, so there are lots of things to test
