Any chance this is going to happen?
Can't I just TELL the program where I keep all my original HPI and CCX files without having to copy everything twice over?
This isn't exactly a new concept in Unix.
Not everyone has vast, limitless gigs of free space.
Am I demanded to give up original TA to use TA3d?

Re: A config file
In TA3D 0.5.x there is no way to do that using the config file alone but on a Unix system you can create links to avoid copying the files.
In TA3D 0.6.x you can add resource folders in the config file, adding your OTA install path will do the job:
OTA and TA3D can coexist so you don't have to give up OTA
In TA3D 0.6.x you can add resource folders in the config file, adding your OTA install path will do the job:
Code: Select all
Resource Paths = path_to_OTA_install, other_path;

Re: A config file
It is written in FAQ: http://trac.ta3d.org/wiki/FAQ#Idontwant ... ificsource
zuzuf, check some link on frontpage. http://ta3d.org/help/index.html is broken.

Re: A config file
you can set as many as you want, the variable in ta3d.cfg takes a comma-separated string list
