We all know, that in TA the higher resolution - the smaller units.
But in TA3D this shouldn`t be the cause - changing resolution shouldn`t change camera height. I remember, Zuzuf mentioned this some time ago, but in 0.6.0. a5 it is still present.
Does this connected also to map size or only to resolution?
This is the example of DEFAULT camera height - 200 and 1280x960 resolution.

Re: Connection of resolution and camera height
no, no, no, camera height doesn't change with resolution.
Only maximum height depends on map size (normal, it should be set to allow viewing all the map but you don't want small maps to look too small).
The only camera property that changes with resolution is camera plane size in orthographic mode, and since camera height doesn't change anything in orthographic mode (because there is no perspective), only the zooming factor is changed when you use your mouse roller .
Maybe I should add some option to set the default view size in orthographic mode.

Re: Connection of resolution and camera height
Not the view size, but camera height Why with the same projection and different resolutions i`ve got a different height?
Default camera height is ignored? Maybe it should be connected to plane size then?

Re: Connection of resolution and camera height
It is, but screen resolution is used to when projecting, so it results in visible area increasing with resolution (because there is no compensation of the zoom factor).

Re: Connection of resolution and camera height
Well, the similar way it is work in TA - higher res->bigger visible area.
We definately should connect visible area and camera heigh to fix that.
Let`s say the default resolution is 1024x786. Then if the new res is more than default in 1.3 times (on each axis),
then camera heigh should auto-lowered on 1.69 or something like that
