TA3D 0.5.0 RC 4

Post by zuzuf » Wed Dec 24, 2008 4:22 pm

Here it is, probably the last RC before 0.5.0 final !

What's new in RC 4 ?
some tweaks to the new water renderer (it should be a bit faster), and several fixes (ATI driver should be able to compile those shaders properly now), a small lag cannot make the water renderer use all the resources slowing down the game to 2 or 3 fps.

so nothing new ... except the Right Click Interface !! You can enable it from the game option screen, or within the game console using following commands:

Code: Select all

enable right_click_interface
enable left_click_interface
disable right_click_interface
disable left_click_interface
like previous RC releases, there is only a win32 binary, source code can be taken directly from SVN and Linux packages will be made for official release (4 different platforms with all required dependencies).

Nope, the bug is still there. Log file is on it`s way to you, Zuzuf :)

With GLSL on it looks like on my previous srceenshot.

With GLSL off - it looks just black.

GLSL off behavior is normal, GLSL on isn't.

Did you try the right click interface ?

Not yet. I`m working on documentation section right now.

About interface... Shouldn`t enable left_click_interface automatically disable right_click_interface? Could we play with both interfaces enabled?

of course it automatically disable right_click_interface when you enable left_click_interface and vice versa since there is only one boolean variable to tell which interface is used  . These commands were made for convenience.

I'll give it a test later after the family thing. Although it sounds like you answered one of the tings on my wish list. (right click, woo! ) :-)
