It's still far from being finished but since it builds out of the box after installing last Qt opensource SDK on windows (and the zlib and GLEW libraries) from QtCreator I made a package from current code.
Animation mode is not available (it does nothing) but everything else should be working (except the auto UV mapper which is a bit buggy).
You'll find the package here:

Now you can import *.s3o files (Spring format)
It ships all the required libraries (Qt dlls, zlib and glew). It should work out of the archive, if it's not the case, let me know.
NB: no documentation is currently available so if someone feels the will to write it there is some work for him
